About the Ontario Class B licence
A Class B licence lets you drive any school-purposes bus, including those with more than 24 passenger seats, and also covers Classes C, D, E, F and G.
- You must be at least 21 and complete an MTO-approved school bus driver improvement course (valid 5 years).
- You may have no more than 6 demerit points when you apply, and no more than 8 once licensed.
- A criminal record search and driver record search are part of qualifying.
- The road test includes a daily inspection, loading and unloading, backing into a bay, and railway crossing procedures.
