About the Ontario Class C licence

A Class C licence lets you drive regular buses with more than 24 passenger seats, such as transit and coach buses, and also covers Classes D, F and G.

  • You must be at least 18 and hold a G licence or higher.
  • You need a satisfactory medical report before the knowledge test.
  • Buses with air brakes also need a Z endorsement.
  • The road test includes a daily inspection, driving in traffic and backing into a bay.

These are independent practice questions written by Canam Fleet Safety Group. They are not the official test and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, ServiceOntario or DriveTest. Rules change, so always check the current official MTO handbooks and the Highway Traffic Act. Last reviewed October 2026.
